- Visually identify the difference between toothed whales and baleen whales

- Describe the key identification features to enable you to identify a whale, dolphin or porpoise (cetacean) to the species level
- Describe the key identification features to enable you to identify a true seal and fur seal (pinniped) to the species level
- Apply this knowledge to confidently identify the species of marine mammal most commonly found in the Southern Ocean
